A lanai is a treasured place to relax, enjoy a good book or connect with family and friends. In this lanai, we recreated the feeling of a being transported to a grand European chateau through the use of a large flagstone floor from India, French limestone walls, and the creation of weathered, moss covered walls.
Placing the large, modern sectional on the traditional floor, creates an interesting contrast between old and new. Its movable back cushions, can be rearranged in an infinite number of ways, for the ultimate in flexible entertaining.
The simple, but striking color combination of black, cream and apple green accent used throughout the space is an interesting departure from the norm, which keeps the room interesting without being too heavy. The large, beautiful mosaic hung on the wall adds another focal point to the room, second only to the view.
The combination of classic and modern elements creates a look that is both current and timeless. This space is both sophisticated and comfortable at the same time, inviting you to sit down, relax and enjoy the view.
